LANEMetrics is an enterprise level trucking rate calculator and financial planning app for owner operators, lease operators, small carriers, and dispatchers. It performs 196,000 calculations in 1.6 seconds to show your real net profit on every load after every cost and tax including tolls with transponder discounts, weight distance taxes, IFTA surcharges, deadhead economic loss analysis, state by state compliance with KPRA laws and snow chain requirements, self-employment tax, federal tax, and state tax for all US states.

The Hidden Costs You Don't See — Until It's Too Late

Deadhead miles. Tolls. Weight-distance taxes. IFTA surcharges. Factoring Fees. Dispatch/Carrier Fees. Self-employment tax. Federal tax. State tax.

They're on every load. They're eating your profit. And no calculator you've ever used accounts for all of them.

LANEMetrics does. Every cost. Every tax. Every load.

Your Most Valuable Asset Is Your Time

Do you know what your time is worth? Per hour? Per load? After every cost and tax?

Nobody does. No tool has ever calculated it — until now.

You're In Control of Every Mile

LANEMetrics can handle up to 30 extra stops between your first pickup location and final destination — every cost calculated on every leg.

Your current location is optional — add it to calculate the deadhead to your first pickup, and you decide how much of that cost gets built into the customer's rate — from absorbing it completely, to recovering just your expenses, to including your profit on some or all of those miles. Your call.

The Laws Nobody Tells You About — Until You Get the Ticket

State-specific laws and regulations that are barely known can cost you time and serious money in fines. KPRA limits. APU weight allowances. Snow chain requirements. All different. All hard to find. All enforced.

LANEMetrics handles this automatically. Every lane you rate pulls back a dynamic state-by-state compliance map showing every state on your specific route — KPRA lengths and measurement points, APU weight variances, and snow chain laws. States with chain requirements are highlighted on the map with the full legal details one tap away, saving you hours of research.

No other tool in trucking does this. Not one.

Know Your REAL Profit Before You Haul It

Right now, the broker's got a screen full of numbers and you've got a gut feeling. That's not a negotiation. That's preying on your lack of clarity.

That's over.

LANEMetrics puts the real numbers in YOUR hands. Your real profit three ways in 1.6 seconds. By mile. By time. Against the offered rate. Every cost. Every tax. Every state.

Broker counters. You recalculate in 655 milliseconds — before he finishes his sentence.

For the first time, you're negotiating with real numbers, not guessing the math in your head. Now it's a fair fight. No more surprises. Just your numbers.

Common questions

How is this different from a rate calculator?

LANEMetrics is a goal-based financial planning and optimization engine built on proprietary algorithms so complex that until now, were thought to be unsolvable.

You set the net profit you and your company want to take home after all expenses and end-of-year taxes. LANEMetrics reverse engineers the rates you need to hit that goal — on every load.

It pulls real-time mileage, routing, and toll data from the world's leading provider of commercial transportation data. It also provides state-by-state compliance — KPRA laws, axle measurement points, APU overweight variances, snow chain laws — all on a dynamic map that responds to the specific route you're rating.

196,000 calculations in 1.6 seconds. Recalculations in 655 milliseconds when the rate changes.

No rate calculator on earth does any of this.

How do I know the numbers are accurate?

LANEMetrics pulls route, mileage, and toll data from the world's leading commercial transportation data provider. Mileages are accurate to the 100th of a mile — that means when rounded, our distances are accurate to approximately half the length of a 53ft trailer. Tax tables are updated annually from IRS and state tax authority published data. The calculations are built on your specific equipment, expenses, and operating costs that you provide during setup.

Every route is dynamically calculated based on your vehicle specs, actual gross vehicle weight, and hazmat class if applicable. Tolls are calculated based on your toll transponder type and all applicable discounts are applied. No transponder? Full toll costs are used. The miles, tolls, and routing are specific to that exact load — not generic estimates.

That said, all results should be considered estimates and not a substitute for professional financial or tax advice. Nobody can predict the future — unexpected expenses like equipment breakdowns happen and change your bottom line. And out of respect for your privacy, we only ask the financial questions we absolutely need, such as your state of residence and marital status. We can't account for things like a spouse's income, other businesses, or investments that may affect your end-of-year tax liability.

LANEMetrics is unlike any planning tool the transportation industry has ever seen.

Does it work for my type of truck/carrier?

Yes. LANEMetrics supports hot shots, box trucks, power-only tractors, and semi tractor-trailers of all types - including dry van, reefer, flatbed, and tanker. Your vehicle specs, equipment costs, and carrier type are all factored into every calculation. Hauling hazmat? Your specified hazmat surcharge is automatically added to the mileage rate.

Who built this?

LANEMetrics is an enterprise level software platform built for owner operators and small carriers, developed by Truck Tech Innovations LLC, a United States owned and operated technology company founded by people who spent their careers in trucking with a combined knowledge base of over 50 years and got tired of watching drivers lose money on loads they thought were profitable. From concept to launch, over 3 years of research, development, and testing went into building what no one else could.

If you ever need customer support, you'll be talking to people right here in the US who know trucking and the tech behind the app.

How long does the setup take?

Less than 10 minutes if you know your vehicle specs and yearly expenses. If you need to look something up, no problem — your progress is automatically saved. Pick up right where you left off.

Setup is simple, intuitive, and self-explanatory. Need a hand? We've got tutorial videos to walk you through it, and our support team is here if you have any questions.

This sounds complicated. Is it hard to use?

The software behind LANEMetrics is some of the most sophisticated ever built for the transportation industry. One of the biggest challenges was making sure all that power stayed simple for the user. We succeeded.

You won't be bombarded by hundreds of confusing numbers. If you can use a GPS for directions, you can use this app. The information required to rate any lane will feel familiar and flows naturally.

Results are displayed in a clean comparison list showing the most important numbers for quick decisions. Want more detail? Each rate can be expanded to see a map and additional breakdown. The winning method — time-based or mile-based — can be opened to see a full list of calculated expenses and an itemized summary.

No hours of studying. No learning curve. Easy to follow and understand right out of the gate the first time you use it. We also have a tutorial video explaining how to use the app and understand the results, and of course, if you have any questions we are here to help.

Is my data safe?

Yes. Your data is yours. Period. We don't sell it, share it, or give it to anyone.

All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted. No other user can see your information. Data stored on your device is also encrypted.

We take your privacy so seriously that when you add notes to a saved load in your comparison list, those notes are stored ONLY on your device. That information never leaves your phone for any reason — it's never sent to our servers. We never see it. We don't even know if you added notes to any lanes.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. LANEMetrics is available on both iOS and Android so you can use it on the device you already carry.

This sounds great, but is AI doing the calculations?

No. LANEMetrics does not use AI, machine learning, or any form of artificial intelligence. These are deterministic algorithms — pure math that produces the exact same result every time for the same inputs. No guessing. No chatbot. Just math.
